Is Traditional Cloth Cradle Good for babies?

In the modern world, Parents don't have enough time to take care of babies. You may noticed that Baby sitter job and Day care centres are increasing rapidly in cities. This will lead to bonding gap between parents and babies.

Most of the parents let their baby to sleep on the bed. Even if many people have advised to put their baby in cloth cradle, they may worry and the lot of fear factors comes into their mind. Some of their concerns are

1. The baby cannot move freely like it can be in the bed.
2. Baby spine may not be straight.
3. The swinging motion may affect baby brain.
4. It's not like sleeping with its mother.

A newborn baby requires adequate sleeping time and it should be peaceful. Our traditional cloth cradle best suits for baby and it will overcome the above concerns.

Let's discuss some of the health benefits of using traditional cloth cradle.

1. Mostly the cloth which is used for cradle belongs to the mother or father of the baby. So baby can feel secure as it is with parents.

2. Cotton cloth is used mostly so that it can absorb body temperature of the baby so that babies can sleep a long time.

3. It can help the baby to get a round shaped head.

4. The traditional cloth cradle gives required support to baby's spine and neck so growth will be normal, which is not supported in modern cradle or bed.

5. As the shadow of the cloth falls on top of the baby, baby sleeps well.

6. The chances of falling from cloth cradle are low.

7. When a baby urinates in the cradle, the urine from the cradle gets to the ground and prevents the baby from getting wet.

Let's put your baby in a comfort zone with our traditional cradle, but always keep an eye on baby to check whether the cloth cradle is tightly tied.

Is your lunchbox is Eco Friendly or Colorful Toxic?

Lunch Break!!! Its not just an hour time period. It is the time where we can feed our tired stomach after continuous work or study. It gives stamina for the next half session up for evening. So it is the important time span we have to consider for healthy food diet. People can focus on the food diet chart, but forget to think about the container which holds that valuable food.

Is your lunch box is Eco Friendly or it is just a colorful toxic? Ask this question at least once before packing your lunch.

I bet in a modern world, people prefer to use Tupperware lunch boxes. Tupperware has been just a brand name but it is made up of "Plastic". I don't know the reason why people prefer, maybe it is easily washable or we can cook it in Microwave oven too.

What ever the reason, but usage of plastic containers for eatable things are not recommended. School kids, Teenagers and Senior citizens all can use mostly plastic containers for lunch box. Even for daily usage People can use plastic containers for storing the vegetables, cut fruits and eatable food items and keep it inside the refrigerator.

Some plastic containers downside has some symbols to indicate micro oven free, maximum temperature capacity, etc., Even though technology says it is freezing or oven free, the plastic nature can melt and micro molecules may react to the food inside. It will slowly cause a side effect in the long run. 

Studies show that plastics can cause fertility and reproductive problems, Obesity and Sickness.

Here are some much better alternatives for Eco friendly lunch box of daily usage containers

1. Stainless Steel

Stainless steel is a better alternative food container and it doesn't leach any chemicals. Stainless steel is a recyclable, long lasting and greener to use.


2. Glass


Store liquids in glass containers and handle with care. Glass containers are free from any leakage and safe for use over and over again.


3. Copper Water bottle


As I already suggested, drinking the water in the copper water bottle is good for health and it gives the copper contents which are essential for our body.


Bottom line: It is advisable to eat the food in the 'Banana Leaf' if possible. At least use Banana leaf once in a week.

Hibiscus rosa sinensis - a lengthy word, but still I remember because of my school day scientific studies.

There was a hibiscus plant in my school. My school teacher plucks one flower daily from that plant and simply consume it without any shrinking face behaviour. She told it was good for healthy heart and rejuvenate body.

Yes!! It's scientifically proven that Hibiscus reduce high blood pressure. It purifies blood and cure diseases naturally.

It is a very beautiful flower which comes in a wide variety of colours like red, white, pink, yellow, etc., It is widely used in Ayurveda for most medicine purposes.


Hair loss:

       The oil extracted from Hibiscus flowers are rich in essential nutrients which nourish the hair. It stops hair fall and help you darken your hair colour.

Lowers level of Cholesterol:

Tiny seeds magic

An ancient Prince, who rules the healthy world is tiny in size. Sesame seeds are playing a vital role to boost our health.

Sesame seeds are nowadays used in cooking and snack items. People consume it as a raw form too, but it gives a bitter taste. This tiny seeds offers numerous amount of Calcium,  Copper,  Manganese,  Iron and other vital nutrients.

It's famous because it improves bone strength and improves heart health. It lowers the blood cholesterol level and boost our immune system.

Simple usage, method:

1. Roast the raw sesame seeds in an empty vessel or pan and keep it as separate.
2. Pour some drops of water in a vessel and add some quantities of Palm sugar or Jaggary and stir well to turn that particle into liquid state.
Note: Palm sugar contains tiny particles of sand, so it is advised to filter the boiled palm sugar.
3. Mix the roasted sesame seeds with boiled palm sugar and eat it with pleasure.

It's bitter by nature but will keep you healthy in future

Bitter in taste, what a nasty creature created in the world. I don't want to taste it and I don't want to touch at all 😨

These displeasure moments faced by many of the children, teenagers and even old age people too.

The Bitter gourd has a bitter taste in nature, but gives a plenty of essential nutrients to our life.

Do you ever notice that our mother or grandmother consume bitter gourd to control the stomach worms. They know that the bitter gourd has natural antifungal, antibiotic and anti-allergenic characteristics.

The bitter gourd reduces the blood sugar level hence it manages the diabetes.


It also helps to prevent unpredictable drops in Insulin levels by regulating the metabolism.

It's unique character is it purifies blood.

By adding bitter gourd to your routine diet, it defends against heart attack, kidney damage and liver failure.

Asthma relief : It improves respiratory systems so that Asthma and bronchitis (an illness in which the bronchial tubes become infected and swollen, resulting in coughing and difficulty in breathing) are controlled.

உடல் சூட்டைத் தணிக்கும் எண்ணெய் குளியலின் அற்புதங்கள்

அன்று ஒருநாள் வழக்கம் போல் இரயில் பயணம் என் கட்டை விரலும் சிட்டுக்குருவி சவப்பெட்டி (கைப்பேசி) மீட்ட கண்களோ இமைக்காமல் செய்தியை படித்துக்கொண்டிருந்தது. 

சகப்பயணி ஒருவர் என்னை பார்த்து எப்படி இவ்வளவு சிறிய எழுத்துக்களை படிக்கிறிங்க வாரம் ஒருமுறை எண்ணெய் தேய்த்து குளிப்பிங்களா என்று கேட்டார். நான் எப்பொழுதோ ஒருமுறை என சொல்லி வழித்தடத்தில் இறங்கி விட்டேன். 

அதன்பின் வாரம் ஒருமுறை எண்ணெய் தேய்த்து குளித்தால் என்ன பயன்கள் என தேடல்களில் "சனி நீராடு" என அவ்வையின் ஆத்திச்சூடி வரிகள் என் கவனத்தை ஈர்த்தது.

வாரத்தில் ஒருநாள் அதுவும் சனிக்கிழமைகளில் எண்ணெய் தேய்த்து நீராடு என்பதே இப்பாடலின் பொருள்.

நல்லெண்ணெய் உடல் முழுவதும் தேய்த்து அரை மணிநேரம் கழித்து வெதுவான வெந்நீரில் குளிக்கும்பொழுது

1. கண்களின் எரிச்சல் நீங்கி கண் பார்வை கூர்மை பெறும். 

2. வெயில் காலங்களில் உடலின் வெப்பத்தை நீக்கி குளிர்ச்சியை  தரும்.
3. முடி உதிர்வை கட்டுப்படுத்தும். 
4. தேகத்தின் பொலிவை மெருகூட்டி இளமை தோற்றத்தை உறுதிப்படுத்தும்.

பெண்கள் எண்ணெய் குளியலுக்கு உகந்த நாள் வெள்ளிக்கிழமை ஆண்களுக்கு சனிக்கிழமை. சிலர் நல்லெண்ணையுடன் சுக்கு பூண்டு மிளகு சேர்த்து சூடேற்றி பின்பு சூடு ஆரியதும் பயன்படுத்துவர். 

எண்ணெய் குளியல் நாட்களில் செய்யக்கூடாதவை: 

1. எண்ணெய் குளியலுக்கு பின் அந்நாளின் பகல் நேரங்களில் கண்டிப்பாக தூங்க கூடாது. 

2. சூரிய உதயத்திற்கு பின் காலை 7 - 8 மணிக்குள் எண்ணெய் குளியல் செய்துவிட வேண்டும். அதற்கு பிறகு செய்தல் நல்ல பயனளிக்காது.

3. குளியல் ஆரம்பம் முதலே தலையில் தண்ணீர் ஊற்றாமல் முதலில் கால்கள் கைகள் முகத்தை வெந்நெரில் கழுவி விட்டு பிறகு தலைக்கு தண்ணீர் ஊற்றினால் உடல் வெப்பம் காதுகள் மற்றும் கண்கள் வழியாக வெளியேறி குளிர்ச்சி தரும். 

உடல் வெப்பத்தை தணித்தாலே பல நோய்கள் நம்மை அணுகாது.
